My Story

My love for the media arts began as a teenager scavenging through my parent's old LP and movie collections.  I became fascinated with jazz, fusion, rock 'n' roll and avant garde music, and would spend my time trying to figure out how to recreate the sounds I would hear coming out of my speakers on my instruments and recording interface.  I also had a Netflix subscription (back when they would physically mail you the DVD's) and would rent a classic or critically acclaimed movie as often as I could in order to watch and absorb the filmmaker's creative technqiues.  The possibilities for technology to stimulate creative expression sparked the passion in me for media production that I still have today.

At Temple University, I became immersed in the DIY music scene.  After starting my own band, DOG, I was invited to join the jam-funk quintet Mercury Retrograde, who were enjoying success with their own production company, Groove-In' Productions.  Along with playing bass in the band's debut EP, Everyday Mirage, I shot and curated promotional video content for some of their events, as well as operated the sound for the stages at Grove in the Grove II and III.

Now I'm an intern at Milkboy the Studio, where I am honing my craft as a producer and audio engineer.  I'm responsible for assisting the engineers and clients set up and break for their sessions, as well as offering a second opinion on tracking and mixing decisions.
